Fenix Chair series
designed by Wolfgang C.R. Mezger
FENIX…old French for Phoenix
The FENIX chair offers a sculptural profile created from a molded foam shell. The beautiful contours, flairs, and curvatures speak a clean and contemporary language. This high design chair is perfect for the executive or conference environment.
Special Mechanism…allows flexing of the body
Passive ergonomic features are built into the design for optimum comfort. The flowing form of the chair hugs the body for full support. Manfred Elzenbeck, a German engineer that developed both the Motion/Webb and Lucid/Body mechanisms, created a special mechanism for the FENIX chair. The Flex-Tilt Mechanism reclines under the users thighs allowing the back portion of the seat and back to have a synchronized movement. This movement permits the body to flex, while the feet stay on the floor and the arms stay in the work position.
Classic Look… limitless possibilities
The FENIX Chair Series offers a high back with an adjustable headrest or a mid back. The one-piece sock-on cover lets the textile or leather dictate the aesthetic of the flowing form, whether it is supple leather for a sensual look, or woven textured wool for more cozy comfortable surroundings.

Loop chair series
designed by Burkhard Vogtherr
LOOP…an amazing study in injection molding
Burkhard Vogtherr, a German designer that has worked with Davis for over twenty years, has created a form that truly will become an iconic design for seating. LOOP is an amazing study in injection mold manufacturing technology. The one-piece shell flows around to form a flexible back with rigid arms and is constructed of polypropylene. As you walk around this unique chair, you will see very different shapes and angles. An architecturally designed, steel frame forms a stable base to support this multi-purpose chair.
Selection… a study in sophisticated colors
In selecting colors, Davis solicited the talents of colorist, graphic designer, and Sr. VP of Davis, Sandy Soroush. “We knew that this chair had the potential to cross many markets, and we wanted to create a color way that would support these markets,” states Sandy. “The colors are great as accents, as well as, blending with environments in both corporate and residential. We are also working on a custom color program. Davis has had great success with other products by creating specific corporate or school colors.”
To enhance the color offering, the LOOP chair is also offered with an upholstered seat. Any type of textile or leather may be used on this seat, which adds an additional comfort and visual aesthetics.
Green is not a color… 100% Recyclable
Davis focused on creating a product that can be completely recycled. The polypropylene shell and the steel frame in powdercoate finishes offer a 100% recyclable product.

method Lounge series
designed by Wolfgang C.R. Mezger
METHOD…Wolfgang does it again
Davis had been known for many years as a major manufacturer of modular lounge collections. The most popular current series are the Palette and Radius Lounge Series. Wolfgang C.R. Mezger, a world-renowned German furniture designer, designed both of these collections. When Danny Davis asked Wolfgang to create the next generation of modular lounge seating for Davis, he wanted a different look and approach than previous series.
The result was METHOD…a very distinctive design that has a mix of specific materials and design details.
Design…it is all in the details
The vision of the modular lounge seating was based on making a simpler collection that was easier to specify, while also raising the bar on design aesthetics. Consisting of pallets, legs, seats, arms, tablets and tables, METHOD may be arranged in many different types of configurations. Pallets can be joined in a row, or turn corners with connecting tables. Seat and bench cushions may be placed as needed, and may even face in opposite directions.
The most unique design detail is the way the seat and bench cushions wrap around the pallet. A most unusual approach to upholstery, yet it creates a clean, sculptured look.
One Leg Up… polished aluminum legs that is
A shining star in this design is the polished aluminum leg. They seem to disappear under the pallets and add a high end aesthetic. Each pallet only needs two legs, including the four-seat unit. As an additional support for the three- and four-seat unit, a special beam will be added automatically for any configuration. Legs may also be specified in powdercoate finishes.
Special materials…rounding out the program
To elevate this design once more, Wolfgang has selected specific choices for the pallets and tables…Natural Oak, Natural Maple, Natural Walnut, White Laminate, and Artic White Solid Surface for tablets and floating tables.

polar lounge series
designed by Wolfgang C.R. Mezger
POLAR…simple design
Sometimes the simple approach to design is the best. When Wolfgang C.R. Mezger developed the design of this new lounge collection, he wanted to focus on the needs of today’s office. The first concentration was on the slowly shrinking scale of today’s office. The seating units are offered in a lounge chair and love seat with a footprint of 29 x 30 or 62 x 30 respectively. Both units are armless, so there is more space to sit. Having a separated back and seat allows for a natural sweep through for high traffic areas. All of these items add up to a very functional lounge grouping.
Aesthetics…specifications make a difference
The separate back and seat lends to a plethora of textile applications. Mixing fabric with vinyl, solid with pattern, and color versus color allows the designer to create their own specific aesthetic statement. The frame may be specified in chrome or five powdercoate finishes. A new Matte White powdercoate finish has been added to the Davis Collection. This new finish will create a clean and fresh look in any environment…corporate, healthcare, hospitality, or retail.
Support… unique leg connection
The design of the solid steel rod leg frame is a trick to the eye. It appears to be a one-piece frame stretching beneath the seating units, when actually the legs are separate. They have a very distinctive form that wraps around and connects seamlessly to the cushions. The support for the cushions comes from the thick poplar interior frame and multiple density foam construction.

Whether it's creating a visual statement with a reception desk, executive assitant workstations or an entire open plan work environment, Sequence provides a solution as unique as each client.
MARIN CHAIR
designed by William Sklaroff
The Marin chair is a unique design expression that is scaled for today's architectural spaces. An exceptional feature is the curvilinear arm, which creates a distinctive profile, when viewed from various angles. Comfortable as it is attractive, this arm is beautifully articulated, as a partially circular, cantilevered arm rest.
The elegant design lends itself to tandem seating. Tables linked between chairs form classic seating solutions for waiting areas. Suited ideally to healthcare environments, and corporate spaces, Marin's light scale and proportions may be amplified to numerous functional configurations.
